Rabat Agdal
Rabat, Morocco · ONCF

A modern station and the Al Boraq terminus, Rabat Agdal serves the residential and business districts of the capital (Agdal, Hay Riad, Souissi).
Role of this station
Rabat Agdal is the station of choice for residents and business travellers. More modern and spacious than Rabat Ville, it is the preferred departure point for Al Boraq services and for reaching the diplomatic quarter of Souissi or Hay Riad.
Should you hire a car when arriving at this station?
Renting a vehicle makes perfect sense if Rabat is only the first stop on your trip, if you plan to explore the surrounding region (Skhirat, Mohammedia, Kénitra or the Atlantic beaches), or if your accommodation is located on the outskirts (for example Hay Riad, Souissi or Témara).
On the other hand, if your stay is focused entirely on the city centre or the adjacent business district, the tram network, petit taxis and walking are often more efficient for getting around in the immediate urban core.
Getting to the city centre from the station
Strategically located near major road arteries, Rabat Agdal lets you reach the centre quickly by public transport, petit taxis waiting outside the entrance, or ride-hailing (Careem). It also offers excellent road connections for leaving the city without navigating the most congested areas.
- Petit taxi: 15–40 MAD to most central neighbourhoods, metered or negotiated.
- Tram / city bus: available in several major cities, fixed fare ~6–8 MAD.
- Ride-hailing (Careem): a convenient alternative for bulky luggage, transparent pricing.
- On foot: feasible if your accommodation is within 1.5 km.
Our recommendation for this arrival
Assess your itinerary: for a short city break, stick to local transport. If you are planning regional exploration or need complete independence over several days, picking up a car near the station is a smart move.
