Agadir Airport → Taghazout at a glance
Agadir-Al Massira airport (AGA) lies south-east of Agadir, inland. Taghazout is north of the city, on the coast. The journey therefore crosses the whole Agadir area before joining the coast road heading north.
According to a routing tool (OSRM, OpenStreetMap data, checked on 25 September 2026), allow roughly 52 to 57 km and about 1h10 excluding traffic, depending on your final stop. This is an estimate: crossing Agadir can add significant time at busy hours, in summer and during events. Plan on 1h to 1h20, more at peak times.
Taghazout, Tamraght, Taghazout Bay, Anchor Point: where are you heading?
- Tamraght: the first village coming from Agadir, before Taghazout. Plenty of surf camps and places to stay.
- Taghazout Bay: the resort and golf area between Tamraght and Taghazout, more spread out, where people mostly get around by car or hotel shuttle.
- Taghazout: the compact fishing and surf village, easy to explore on foot.
- Anchor Point: the surf break just north of Taghazout village, within walking distance of it.
Always give your driver or transfer company the exact address of your accommodation: "Taghazout" can mean several distinct areas.
Your options
Taxi
Taxis are available at the airport. We publish no fare: we could not verify an official price list for this journey. Agree on the price before setting off and check that your luggage and board fit in the vehicle.
Private transfer
Booked in advance with a provider or through your accommodation, with a meet-and-greet at the terminal. The easiest choice after a late flight. Fares, pick-up hours and board carriage: to be confirmed with the provider.
Rental car
Cars are collected at the airport. A car makes sense if you plan to leave Taghazout: Tamraght, Paradise Valley, Imsouane, Agadir, or other surf spots with your gear.
Shared transport
We found no direct, well-documented shared service between the airport and Taghazout, so we do not recommend one.
The KARVYX recommendation
This is a decision aid, not a promise:
- A laid-back stay in Taghazout with no day trips: a transfer or taxi is enough. The village is best enjoyed on foot.
- Staying in Tamraght or Taghazout Bay, keen to explore or carrying surf gear: a rental car gives you freedom for Paradise Valley, Imsouane or Agadir.
Practical tips
- Arriving at AGA: once through arrivals, look for your rental desk or your transfer driver. Desk opening hours: check with the rental company, especially for a night arrival.
- Surfboards: mention them when booking a transfer, or pick a suitable vehicle (roof bars, large boot). Also check your airline's baggage allowance.
- On the road: you cross Agadir, then follow the coast north. Night driving calls for care (pedestrians, scooters, animals).
- The last stretch: central Taghazout has narrow lanes. Ask your accommodation how to get close and where to park: we publish no unverified parking information.
