Rent a car at Marrakech airport or in town?
You land at Menara airport (RAK), about 7 km from central Marrakech. The transport question starts the moment you leave the terminal: pick up a rental car now, or wait until you are in town?
Marrakech Menara is seven minutes from the medina. A car is pointless if you stay inside the medina (riad, souks, Jemaa el-Fna), but makes sense as soon as Essaouira, Ourika, Ouzoud or the Palmeraie are on your list.
