Which airport should you fly into for Essaouira: ESU, Agadir or Marrakech?

• Distance to the centre — about 15 km, roughly twenty minutes by road.
• Flights — a small airport, served mainly by European low-cost carriers on seasonal routes. No regular domestic link to Marrakech or Agadir.
• Do you need a car? — not for staying in Essaouira itself: the medina is pedestrian and the airport transfer is short.

• Without a car — a direct Agadir–Essaouira coach is to be confirmed with the operators; do not take it for granted.

AGA makes sense if your trip combines the Atlantic south (Agadir, the surf spots) with Essaouira and you are driving a rental car.
